Taxes

 
Q:   I don't think I've received my tax bill this year. Where can I obtain a duplicate copy?
A:   Duplicate copies are available from the Office of the Tax Collector in Borough Hall (see above). Note: there is a $1.00 charge for duplicate bills.
     
Q:   When are the tax bills mailed to property owners?
A:   Tax bills are mailed annually to all property owners on February 1st, for Borough, County Solid Waste and Sewer Taxes. School Tax bills are mailed to property owners on July 1st each year.
     
Q:   Who determines the tax rates?
A:   Borough Council sets the rates annually for the Borough Tax, Solid Waste Tax and Sewer Tax. These rates are normally set December 31st of the preceding year for the upcoming year. The Montgomery County Commissioners set the County tax. The Lower Merion School Board sets the School tax rate.
